Madikeri: Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar announced that the construction of the four-lane highway between Srirangapatna-Kushalnagar will commence within the next three months.
The announcement was made during the inauguration of the new MP's office, on the first floor of the Madikeri district administration building, on Monday. Senior doctor Patkar and other dignitaries attended the ceremony, which included traditional religious ceremonies prior to the formal opening.
Yaduveer emphasised that Kodagu remains his primary constituency, necessitating dedicated attention. The newly established office will facilitate public interaction regarding development matters. While no fixed schedule has been set for public meetings, he intends to meet constituents at least once a week. Regarding the highway project, Yaduveer confirmed that work will proceed in two packages, with land acquisition already underway.
The event was attended by former MLAs MP Appachchu Ranjan, KG Bopaiah, BJP district president Napanda Ravikalappa, Mahila Morcha district president Neravanda Anita Poovaiah and others.
