NEW DELHI: The BJP on Tuesday launched a fresh attack on AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal over the renovation of the chief minister's official residence at 6 Flag Staff Road. The party released a video of the gymnasium at 6 Flag Staff, which Kejriwal recently vacated but lived in during his tenure as chief minister, from its official X handle.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva claimed that the video was of the Flag Staff Road CM residence. Posting the video, Sachdeva said on X, "We have consistently exposed the truth behind the lavish 'sheesh mehal' of Arvind Kejriwal, who claims to be a 'common man.' Today, we will show it to you as well."
"Using public money, a seven-star resort-like residence has been built for himself, equipped with luxurious facilities like a gym, sauna, and jacuzzi," he said. AAP has not responded to the allegations until the filing of the report.

"Kejriwal, who once swore on his children not to take govt housing, cars, or security, is now blatantly misusing public money," said Sachdeva.
The CM’s official residence, which underwent renovations in 2020-21, has been at the centre of a controversy following BJP’s allegations of “excessive expenditure” and violation of norms.
AAP has consistently maintained that the house was not intended solely for Kejriwal, but for every subsequent CM. Later, when Kejriwal resigned from the post, his successor Atishi moved to the residence but had to vacate after PWD said it was yet to take stock of inventories before making a fresh allotment.
