Lucknow: Ashutosh Roy and Shwetabh Dixit entered the third round of the Tanuj Kohli Memorial North India Open snooker tournament with contrasting wins here. The tournament, organised under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association (UPBSA), also saw wins for Samir Ahmed of Moradabad and Kashif Khan of Delhi among others.
Dehradun's Aditya Bisht defeated Delhi's Mohammad Farooq in the most exciting match of the tournament sponsored by the Kohli family and held at the Green Badge Snooker Academy Faizabad Road Lucknow. In a long match, Aditya won the first and last frames with breaks of 52 and 32 in his favour.
In other matches, Ashutosh Roy of Lucknow easily defeated Rahmat Ali 3-0. Lucknow's Shwetabh Dixit defeated Moradabad's Imran Khan 3-1. Samir Ahmad of Moradabad defeated Tushar Tilara of Lucknow by 3-0 margin and Kashif Khan of Delhi defeated Rohit Gangwar of Lucknow by 3-1 margin.
