Ajmer: Ajmer district will not receive drinking water supply from Bisalpur Dam for 20 hours from Tuesday till Wednesday morning.
Senior engineer of PHED, Vinod Yadav, said the shutdown is due to repairs of the 1500mm pipeline from Thadoli to Nasirabad as part of the second phase of Bisalpur Dam project.
There are four leakages between Thadoli and Kekeri, and six leakages between Kekeri and Nasirabad, he said. The department will also complete maintenance work at the Nasirabad pump station.
Similarly, maintenance work will be carried out at the switchyard and other locations. Due to the shutdown, there will be no supply of 235 MLD of water to Ajmer.
