VSP: Man hit last week by truck in Fishersville has died
FISHERSVILLE – A pedestrian who was hit by a pickup last week in Fishersville has died, according to Virginia State Police.
Shannon M.J. Taylor, 44, of Waynesboro, was struck the afternoon of Dec. 3 while walking along the northbound lane of Tinkling Spring Road.
Police said Taylor was hit by a 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup that was headed in the same direction. He was hospitalized for several days before dying Sunday at UVA Health in Charlottesville.
Virginia State Police said the driver of the pickup is not facing charges.
Correction: Virginia State Police said the victim died Sunday, not Monday.
