T'puram: Operating since 2019 to provide pure chicken meat at a fair price, Kudumbashree Kerala Chicken is launching its frozen value-added products into the market. Under the brand ‘Kudumbashree Kerala Chicken', products like chicken drumsticks, boneless breast, chicken biryani cut, chicken curry cut, and whole chicken will be introduced.
The launch of the products will be conducted by local self-govt minister M B Rajesh on Tuesday at the govt secretariat. Members of the Kudumbashree executive committee, executive director H Dineshan, and Kudumbashree programme officers will attend.
Initially, the products will be available in the districts of Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta. In the second phase of the project, the aim is to produce at least half of the domestic market's demand while also increasing farmers' income. TNN
