Rohtak: Two members of Bhau gang were injured during cross-firing with the cops near the Jind Bypass in Rohtak on Monday early morning.
Three police personnel were also hit during the encounter between the police and the criminals. The injured accused have been admitted to PGIMS, Rohtak for treatment.
The arrested accused have been identified as Jasbir, a resident of Tibbi village in Fatehabad, and Sahil from Kharkhoda. Both are known associates of the infamous Himanshu Bhau Gang. The accused were involved in the shooting at a wedding procession in Kiloi village, Rohtak, three days ago, where financier Manjeet was brutally murdered.
Following the gruesome killing, Rohtak police formed five teams, including personnel from STF and CIA-2, to track down the accused. On Monday morning, the teams received intelligence about the accused’s presence near Jind Bypass. As soon as the police approached, the accused opened fire at the police vehicle.

In Gopalganj's Baikunthpur, a police encounter late Tuesday night resulted in the shooting of a suspect linked to the murder of police chowkidar Jhamendra Rai. Investigations revealed liquor smuggler Surendra Rai and his son Vikesh Rai as the prime suspects, driven by revenge for a previous arrest.
