Dumka: Unknown miscreants hurled crude bombs at multiple locations in Madhupur, a sub-divisional headquarters in Deoghar district, on Sunday evening, triggering panic among residents. No casualties were reported.
The first blast occurred around 8:30 pm when motorcycle-borne attackers targeted a nursing home in Lakhna Mohalla. Minutes later, another bomb exploded 200 metre away at Naushad Ansari's residence. A third explosion followed shortly at Nilu Devi's house in the Dobagadha-Pokharia area, all within Madhupur police station limits. Most residents were indoors due to cold weather when the incidents occurred. Police reported that three individuals on a motorcycle orchestrated the attacks, apparently aiming to create chaos before fleeing the scene.
Police said, "None of the victims whose properties were targeted have identified any suspects." Police are checking CCTV footage to identify the perpetrators and have launched an investigation. Local authorities have increased surveillance in the area to prevent similar incidents and maintain law and order.
