Garhwa: The court of the principal district judge in Garhwa, Nalin Kumar, sentenced a Maoist, Tunesh Oraon, to life imprisonment in a murder case under Section 302 of the IPC. The court, in its order on Saturday, has also slapped a Rs 20,000 fine on him. Two other named accused of the same case, Veer Sao and Dilip Prasad, have been acquitted due to lack of evidence against them. Tunesh Oraon, a resident of Lami village under Bhandaria police station of Garhwa district, was accused in the killing of Asharfi Yadav, Bishnu Panika and Ramesh Panika.
Chandradeo Yadav of Tihri village under Bhandaria police station had lodged an FIR against Tunesh Oraon, Veer Sao and Dilip Prasad among 30 other Naxals who had thrashed his brother Asharfi Yadav and two others, Bishnu Panika and Ramesh Panika, and killed the trio in 2003.
