Jhansi: A fourteen-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on Saturday in Jhansi district after his mother objected to his continuous playing of the PUBG video game. The incident occurred in Eirach, a small hamlet of the district.
On Saturday afternoon, deceased, Samran, was playing the game on his mobile phone when his mother, Usha Kewat, objected and reprimanded him. Disturbed by the interruption of his game, Samran proceeded towards his farm, where he was found hanging from a branch of a tree.
Upon discovering the incident, the police were alerted, who transported the body to the nearby Community Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead. According to SP Rural Gopinath Soni, Samran's body was sent for a post-mortem examination.
