T'puram: Three people, including a school student, were arrested with 127g MDMA worth lakhs of rupees during a joint raid conducted by the rural Dansaf team and Chirayinkeezhu police on Sunday.
The arrested persons were identified by police as Agarus, 28, of Daivakripa in Sarkara, and Rayiz, 18, of at Decent Mukku. The identity of the third accused cannot be revealed for being a minor.
A few days ago, the rural police chief received information about the drug business of Agarus, who is an accused in several criminal cases. According to police, he employed school students as agents. He was put under surveillance, and police recently received information about the trio visiting Bengaluru to buy the drug. The team was waiting for their return, and all were nabbed from the premises of NES Block at Mudapuram with the drug. TNN
