Union Minister Manohar Lal reviews Housing & Urban Sector Projects related to Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada, Dec 07 A review of Housing & Urban schemes in Andhra Pradesh was taken by Manohar Lal,  Minister, Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India along with Ponguru Narayana, Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development  Department, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Minister for Power Department and Koluru Parthasarathi, Minister for Housing Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on 7th  December, 2024 at Hotel Novotel, Vijayawada.

Union Minister reviewed Housing & Urban Sector Projects being implemented by the State. Progress of the State in various flagship schemes like AMRUT, Smart City, PMAY(U), NULM, PM Svanidhi, SBM & Metro rail projects was presented during the meeting by the senior State Officials.

While discussing the progress in SBM, the Union Minister emphasised on monitoring the use of treated used water. He also discussed the ways for utilisation of processed waste such as waster to energy and waste to compost.

Regarding PMAY(U) he has suggested to complete the already sanction houses under PMAY(U)-1.0 and also to complete the infrastructure in the layouts. The state officials have informed that they are in touch with HUDCO for loan sanction to complete the above-mentioned works.

Regarding the financial requirement posed by the state for Housing, Urban & Power department, Minister assured that the Govt will look into in the next budget.
