Udaipur: Three people died and three others were injured when a truck loaded with sacks of ration fell into a 30-foot-deep ditch late Friday night in Charbhuja police station area of Rajsamand district.
Three workers sitting on the sacks at the rear were crushed under the sacks, resulting in their instant death. Three other people in the cabin were injured. All the injured were admitted to the govt hospital in Kelwara, and bodies of the deceased were kept in the mortuary of Charbhuja community health centre.
Charbhuja police station SHO Govardhan Singh said the truck was carrying sacks of wheat from the FCI warehouse near Rajsamand and was heading towards Kelwara. The deceased have been identified as Lalu (40), Hira (23), and Prakash (26), all from Salumbar district.
