Chennai: An inspector attached to the Adyar Traffic Investigation Unit has been placed under suspension following a complaint accusing her of damaging the seat of a sub-inspector's bike in Mylapore.
Police said M Jayalakshmi resides on the ground floor of the Mylapore police quarters. Sub-inspector Ilayaraja, who lives on the first floor, filed a case saying Jayalakshmi encroached the land in front of her house by putting up a fence and got it removed. Enraged, Jayalakshmi allegedly used a knife to tear the seats of his bike. Ilayaraja obtained CCTV camera footage showing Jayalakshmi's involvement in the incident. He also lodged a police complaint. tnn
