Speaking on the introduction of new routes from Amritsar and Lucknow to Bangkok Ankur Garg, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India Express, said, “With the launch of direct flights from Amritsar and Lucknow to Bangkok, Air India Express further strengthens its strong presence in Southeast Asia, complementing its well-established Singapore routes that connect four key airports in South India.
“Backed by a growing fleet of 90 aircraft, set to exceed 100 soon, we are committed to offering unique travel experiences infused with the warmth of Indian hospitality.
“Differentiators like our XpressBiz seats—equivalent to business class with an industry-leading seat pitch—Gourmair hot meals, and fare options like Xpress Lite zero-baggage fares available exclusively on our website, make air travel more convenient and accessible for travellers from emerging cities,” Garg said.
Celebrating the rich heritage of Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, Air India Express has adorned two of its newest aircraft with livery inspired by traditional ‘Phulkari’ and ‘Chikankari’ embroidery styles as part of its Tales of India initiative.
