Prayagraj: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath reached Prayagraj on Saturday, six days before the proposed programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his visit, the CM also inspected the beautification and other projects ongoing in view of the divine, grand and digital Maha Kumbh-2025 to be inaugurated by PM Modi. He expressed satisfaction over the completed projects and directed the officials to complete the remaining projects in a quality manner by Dec 10.
The CM, after arriving from Varanasi, met the party workers at the Circuit House. From there, the CM reached Arail bandha road, where he expressed satisfaction over the completion of the road widening and beautification work. He said that "Smart Prayagraj is ready to welcome the pilgrims and tourists coming to Maha Kumbh, the intangible cultural heritage of humanity".
Yogi then inspected Triveni Pushp. He said that Maha Kumbh-2025 is an opportunity for not only Prayag but the entire UP to present the ancient spiritual tradition of India on the global stage. After this, the CM reached the faecal sludge treatment plant at Naini, where he inspected the ongoing tapping work of the plant. He said that special care should be taken to ensure that no drainage and sewer fall into Ganga and Yamuna. All drains should be tapped on time.
Thereafter, Yogi did a site inspection of Shivalaya park. This park has the replica of all the 12 Jyotirlingas, and on the map of India, they are constructed on the 12 acres of the park.
Thereafter, the CM inaugurated the public accommodation facility, located at sector number-1 of the mela area. He also visited and inaugurated the Khoya Paya centre. At Maha Kumbh police line, the CM met the seers and members of all the 13 akharas and representatives of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP). Seers of Dandi Swami, Acharya Bada and Khak Chowk were also present in the meeting.
ABAP president Srimahant Ravindra Puri said, "The CM gave us a patient hearing and instructed the officials of Mahakumbh Mela district to resolve all the problems within 2-3 days. The CM has said that the state govt, the central govt, devotees and all the seers coming to Maha Kumbh area will make the event a memorable one, of the scale that was not held in the past and the one which will be a benchmark for the future." The CM has also asked us to resolve all the disputes among us and showcase to the world as one entity, he added.
Yogi said that the divinity and grandeur of Maha Kumbh are due to the revered saints; the govt and administration are just partners in the event. He said that if Sanatan culture is being glorified on the global stage today, then it is happening only due to the grace of the seers. The CM said that whatever is good in the preparation of Maha Kumbh is due to the grace of ancestors, guidance of PM Modi and blessings of seers. Therefore, this time also the revered seers should continue to provide their guidance to the officials of the mela administration.
The CM also inaugurated 100 public shelters with a capacity of 250 beds in the mela area. Traditionally, pilgrims and seers spend time in open spaces or circulation areas, which creates many problems for them in cold weather. Keeping this in mind, the govt has made arrangements for public shelters with a total capacity of 25,000 beds.
