Ajmer: Police on Friday arrested five people for allegedly beating a person and opening fire at Rasoolpura village in Ajmer district.
Ajmer SP Vandita Rana said that Ramraj Gujar (40), a resident of Rasoolpura, registered a report at Alwar Gate police station that on the night of Nov 24, Deepak Mahvir Gujar, along with his accomplices, came to his village in a car and started shouting. When he came out, they beat him. On hearing these noises, neighbours came out, and his nephew called other villagers who gathered at the spot. Mahvir and others fled from the spot but later returned with another car, opened fire in the village, and threatened to kill him, Rana said.
On this report, police started an investigation and found that the accused are hardcore criminals with many cases registered against them at different police stations.
The arrested accused have been identified as Deepak Mahavir Gujar (23), a resident of Gughra village, Suresh Gujar (30), a resident of Chittorgarh district, Farahan Khan (24) and Deepak Ganpat Gujar (25), both residents of Gegal village, and Kavya Bhadana (21), a resident of Adarsh Nagar of Ajmer. tnn
