New Delhi: A cylinder explosion rocked a residential building in Narela on Friday, leaving six people injured.
The incident occurred around at 7 am at a house located near Laxmi Narayan Mandir on Bawana Road, Swatantra Nagar. The blast caused significant damage to the first floor of the building, shattering walls and windows.
The injured individuals, identified as Vijay (28), Bobby (23), Neelam (25), Pooja (30), Aruna (35), and a 17-year-old child, were rushed to hospital in Narela for immediate medical attention. Four of the injured, Vijay, Bobby, Neelam, and Pooja, were later transferred to other hospital for specialized care.
Initial investigations suggest that a gas leak triggered the explosion. The Delhi Police's Crime Team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are currently at the scene, conducting a thorough examination to determine the exact cause of the incident. A case has been registered at Narela Police Station.
