Patiala: Punjab health and family welfare and medical education minister Dr Balbir Singh has inaugurated a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine worth Rs 25 lakh at the community health centre in Tripuri.
Singh said that chief minister Bhagwant Mann had approved the upgradation and expansion of CHC. The hospital would soon undergo a facelift, including the addition of a new floor, operational lifts, and renovated bathrooms. He assured that these improvements would be completed within two months. “With the installation of the new ultrasound machine, Tripuri CHC is now better equipped to cater to the community’s healthcare needs. This, coupled with existing X-ray facilities, would significantly enhance maternal and child healthcare services,” the minister said. He also announced that Dr Khushdeva Singh Chest and TB Hospital would soon feature new emergency and ICU facilities.
