Ara: A team of Bhojpur police, led by ASP-cum-Sadar SDPO Parichay Kumar, arrested two criminals on Friday and recovered seven stolen cellphones, a pistol, three magazines, eight live cartridges and two liquor bottles from their possession.
"Acting on a tip-off that some miscreants armed with weapons were planning a major crime in the Nawada locality under Ara police station, a police team, assisted by the district DIU team, conducted a raid and arrested two people — Suraj Kumar from Kori village under Sandesh police station and Satyam Kumar Rai from Koyal village under Charpokhari police station," SDPO Parichay Kumar said.
A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018, the Arms Act, and the BNS with the Nawada police station of Ara.
"The police are investigating the criminal history of the arrested people," added the SDPO.
