Tim Hortons launch in Tennessee scores new locations. Where are they, when could they open

An area business owner plans to open two more Tim Hortons restaurants in Lebanon after making earlier announcements to open two of the Canadian-based coffee and bakery franchises in Mt. Juliet and Donelson.

Naren Patel will open one Tim Hortons franchise at 1459 West Main Street in Lebanon. The other planned location is on the corner of South Hartmann Drive and Franklin Road and will be part of a future commercial development named Franklin Corner, according to plans submitted to Lebanon officials.

Tim Hortons is known for coffee, specialty drinks and baked foods.

The West Main Street location will replace an old car wash. A “minor” site plan that only requires Lebanon planning staff approval is under review, according to Planner Joshua Stahle. The site plan is considered minor since the new proposed building is largely contained within the footprint of the former car wash.

The Franklin Road location's site plan is already approved.

Franklin Corner will include Teriyaki Madness, Dosbros Fresh Mexican Grill, a liquor store and a BP gas station at 1500 Franklin Road, Patel said.

One of the Tim Hortons restaurants to be built in Mt. Juliet is a free-standing building on the same lot where the refurbished Golden Bear market and gas station is at 10576 Lebanon Road that Patel also owns on Mt. Juliet’s north side. The other future Tim Hortons is at 5120 Beckwith Road near the TriStar Mt. Juliet ER medical building on the city’s south side. A gas station is also part of the Beckwith Road development.

Patel also announced a Tim Hortons to be built in Davidson County's Donelson that will replace a former Krystal restaurant at 2527 Lebanon Pike.

He tentatively plans to start work on the Donelson location before the end of the year with hopes to open in February. Work on the Wilson County locations is expected to start next year. Opening estimates for the Wilson County locations are:

• 1459 West Main Street, Lebanon: Second quarter 2025

• 1500 Franklin Road, Lebanon: Third quarter 2025

• 10576 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet: Second quarter 2025

• 5120 Beckwith Road, Mt. Juliet: Fourth quarter 2025.

There are no Tim Hortons locations listed in Tennessee. Patel is working to bring the brand to the state with multiple locations, he has said.
