Madhepura: Hundreds of people from different social groups took part in a protest march organised here on Thursday against the prevailing atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh.
The protesters led by one Deelip Singh gathered at the Gudri market and passed through the road toward Karpoori Chowk, Western Bypass Road, Collectorate Road, and College Chowk. Carrying placards with messages such as "Stop violence against minorities in Bangladesh", protesters also shouted slogans demanding protection for them.
Singh said he would submit a memorandum of their demands through the collector of Madhepura, requesting the President of India to intervene into the matter in the interest of minorities. Violence against them has been still continued there for more than one month, he added.
