Kanpur: Three people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed and one person critically injured after a CNG auto-rickshaw was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Banda on Tuesday night.
ASP Banda Shivraj said the accident occurred near Jamrehi village around 11pm.
The deceased were identified as auto driver Pradeep Singh, 20, Saddhu Singh, 40, and 12-year-old Amit.
The injured man, Ram Sanehi, was referred to Kanpur for advanced medical care.
The victims were residents of Pesta village in the Bisanda police station area and were returning home at the time of the accident. "The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and efforts are underway to trace the unidentified vehicle involved in the accident," the ASP said.
