Kanpur: A meeting of the Divisional Udyog Bandhu was held under the chairmanship of commissioner Amit Gupta here on Wednesday to resolve the issues faced by entrepreneurs related to various departments.
Regarding activation of the common effluent treatment plant (CETP) established at Jainpur Growth Centre, it was decided to form an SPV for implementing the minutes of NMCG. The commissioner instructed the deputy general manager of UPSIDA and the deputy commissioner of Industries, Kanpur Dehat, to promptly hold a meeting with entrepreneurs to complete the formation of the SPV.
Concerning the laying of a sewer line in the Panki industrial area, the commissioner directed the deputy general manager of UPCIDA to identify land within two weeks and inform the Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam for the construction of an IPS and STP.
The chief engineer of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited informed the meeting that land had been acquired for setting up an electrical feeder in Bhaunti -Bhimsen area and the substation will be completed within the next six months.
The commissioner instructed the irrigation department officials to immediately remove encroachments on roads on both sides of the canal as an alternative route for the movement of entrepreneurs and employees in the Dada Nagar and the Panki industrial area.
The boundary wall constructed by the municipal corporation in the green belt along the road from LML intersection to Bhaunti bypass is getting damaged due to parking. The commissioner directed the municipal corporation to repair the damaged boundary wall immediately to prevent illegal parking in the green belt.
The entrepreneurs informed the commissioner that battery waste (separator) is collected and burned along the canal in the industrial areas, causing severe air pollution and health issues. The regional officer of the Pollution Control Board informed the commissioner that such waste is disposed of by Ramky infrastructure. The commissioner instructed the regional officer of the Pollution Control Board to conduct a survey of the area, identify such industrial units and coordinate with Ramky to ensure proper waste disposal.
