Jaipur: Industry body FORTI on Tuesday formed a committee to monitor the implementation of projects worth Rs 70,000 crore. Its members, spread across the state, signed these projects in the run-up to the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit.
Surjaram Meel, patron of the Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), said the MoUs signed by its members are likely to cross Rs 1 lakh crore by the time the event starts on December 9. "The committee will coordinate between the govt and the investors to bring the MoU on the ground," added Meel.
President of FORTI, Suresh Agarwal, said facilitation is the key to realising these investment proposals on the ground. "The govt signed a record number of investment proposals. Now is the time to work with these investors."
The committee includes FORTI chief secretary Girdhari Khandelwal, its women wing general secretary Lalita Kuchhal, expo committee chairman Prashant Sharma, and youth wing general secretary Gaurav Modi. TNN
