Chandigarh: The Haryana govt would reward people giving information on smuggling of drugs and keep their details confidential, said chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday. Chairing a review meeting with senior officials, including the home department, the CM discussed an action plan for prevention of drug abuse in the state and directed officials to take strict action against those involved in drug peddling. Saini stressed that meaningful steps should also be taken towards bringing drug addicts back into the mainstream society. Calling upon panchayats to pledge to make their villages drug-free, Saini said those fulfilling the objective will be given incentives.
