Ara: A 58-year-old Ayurveda practitioner, who was on a morning walk, died after being hit by a speedy motorcycle on the Ara-Buxar four-lane road at Bibiganj village under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur district on Wednesday. The deceased, Uday Narayan Mahto, was rushed to sadar hospital Ara where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to Gajrajganj OP SHO, Hari Prasad Sharma, the accident occurred at about 6.30am near a fuel station at Bibiganj. The deceased was a resident of Sinha village under the same police station of the district.
Rajkumar, brother-in-law of the deceased, said, "Soon after he left the home for a morning walk, an acquaintance of him called me over the phone and informed about his accident. I rushed to the spot and took him to the sadar hospital but he succumbed to his injuries before he could be taken to the PMCH as referred by the doctors at the hospital."
