Jaipur: Even as the state cabinet on Saturday approved recommendations of the Khemraj Committee, formed during the Cong govt, to resolve discrepancies in the salaries of govt employees, the All-Rajasthan State Employees Joint Federation (United) and the Rajasthan State Employees Union on Monday demanded that the committee's report be made public before its recommendations are implemented.
The committee, led by retired IAS officer Khemraj Chaudhary, was tasked with addressing salary discrepancies, improving salary structures, and providing additional promotion opportunities.
Gajendra Singh Rathore, president of All-Rajasthan State Employees Joint Federation (United), said the report should be disclosed so that employees can understand which improvements were recommended and which discrepancies overlooked by the committee. "Additionally, it is important to know how and to what extent the govt is implementing these recommendations," said Rathore.
Devendra Singh Naruka, general secretary of Rajasthan State Employees Union, said the ministerial cadre has been struggling for a long time to address salary and promotion discrepancies. "Despite four cadre reviews since 2013, they still lag behind other cadres in terms of promotion opportunities," said Naruka.
