Vadodara: Citizens organized a rally protesting the growing menace of stray cattle after the death of a man who was knocked down by a bovine. The victim was commuting on a scooter when he was knocked down.
According to sources, Jainuddin Limdiwala (60) was travelling from Vivekanand Crossroads to the state transport bus depot in Dahod. He was knocked down by a bovine on the way and died from his injuries.
A large number of people from the Bohra community hit the streets, demanding action to resolve the stray cattle problem. Memorandums were submitted to the Dahod municipality and the Dahod district administration.
Officials told the protestors that a contract would be awarded for the capturing of stray cattle in the town. Officials said that within 15 days, agencies will be contracted to capture both stray cattle and stray dogs.
