Nagpur: Kartik Raju Bajare, a shining star from Karanja Ghagde tehsil in Wardha district, 75km from Nagpur, embarked on a remarkable journey of serving the nation as a Sub Lieutenant in the Indian Navy after the passing out parade in Kochi on Saturday.
His initial attempt to join the forces came undone when he couldn't qualify for selection in the Pune-based National Defence Academy (NDA). His unwavering determination and relentless pursuit of excellence paved the way for this extraordinary achievement, igniting a sense of pride within the hearts of every resident of Karanja. "He is the first from our entire tehsil to become a commissioned officer. He faced numerous challenges but never gave up and remained focused on his goal," said Gajanan Bajare, Kartik's uncle.
Born into a family deeply rooted in the cultural and religious traditions of Karanja, Kartik's upbringing instilled in him the values of discipline, perseverance, and a profound sense of duty. As the grandson of Mahadev Appa Bajare and son of Raju Bajare and Joshna Bajare, he carries the legacy of a family that has made significant contributions to the vibrant tapestry of Karanja's society.
Kartik's educational journey began at the prestigious Gurukul Public School in Karanja, where he laid the foundation for his academic excellence. His intelligence and diligence were evident from an early age, propelling him to pursue his education up to the 12th grade in Yavatmal. Undeterred by initial setbacks, Kartik's unwavering spirit drove him to work tirelessly, ultimately securing a coveted position in the Indian Navy through his exceptional performance in the CDS exam.
The rigorous training at Kochi honed Kartik's skills and fortitude, preparing him for the challenges that lay ahead. His exceptional performance during this demanding phase earned him the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
His journey serves as an inspiration to countless young minds, igniting within them the desire to pursue careers in the armed forces and other fields of national service, his uncle said.
The Bajare family beams with pride as their son has illuminated the name of their beloved city on the national stage.
Congratulations and heartfelt blessings poured in from every corner of Karanja, celebrating Kartik's remarkable achievement and wishing him continued success in his future endeavours. "May his service to the nation bring honour and glory not only to Karanja but to the entire country as he soars to greater heights," Bajare said.
