Sasaram: Two bankers died when their motorcycle collided with a speeding four-wheeler at Kilani village under the Chand police station in Kaimur district on Monday morning. The duo was on their way to join duty at the Karajee branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB). After the collision, the four-wheeler overturned on the road.
SHO of Chand police station, Satish Kumar Singh, said the accident occurred when Dev Kumar Sah (38), a newly promoted manager, and his colleague Gopi Chandra Chauhan (30), were on way to the Karajee branch of PNB. The collision claimed Chauhan's life on the spot while Sah was declared brought dead by doctors at the local primary health centre.
According to the police, Sah was a resident of Bhojpur district while Chauhan hailed from Kaimur district. After the postmortem at Bhabhua Sadar Hospital, the bodies were handed over to their respective families.
