Ludhiana: A group of men attacked the owner and a worker of a chicken corner in Moti Nagar after being stopped from consuming alcohol on the premises.
The attackers vandalised the outlet and snatched a gold chain from another customer, who is an advocate, before fleeing.

Moti Nagar police have registered a case against Shah Faizal of Hari Kartar Nagar, Jassi Sajan of Shivaji Nagar, and 20 unidentified accomplices based on a complaint by Parminder Singh, owner of a chicken corner in Moti Nagar.
Parminder Singh said that the accused came to his eatery, purchased chicken, and went upstairs where they began consuming alcohol. When his worker, Babbu, tried to stop them, Faizal slapped him. Babbu said Parminder Singh, who then approached the accused to explain that alcohol consumption was not allowed on the premises.
The accused attacked Parminder Singh as well.
During the altercation, the accused created a ruckus in the shop.
Advocate Gurpreet Singh Bhalla, a customer, attempted to intervene but was also assaulted, and her gold chain with a locket was snatched. The accused vandalised the shop before fleeing.
ASI Karamjeet Singh, the investigating officer from Moti Nagar police station, said the police booked the accused under various sections of the IPC, including voluntarily causing hurt, snatching, mischief causing damage, rioting with deadly weapons, and unlawful assembly.
Shah Faizal was later arrested.

The adult suspects were remanded in judicial custody, while the minor was sent to a correctional facility.
