Sitamarhi: Kumar Vikas, the manager of a road construction company, submitted an application at the Parihar police station in Sitamarhi district, requesting protection for his life. In his application, he alleged that a group of miscreants had sought Rs 10 lakh as extortion from the company and threatened serious consequences if the demand was not met.
Vikas had earlier filed an FIR at Mehsaul OP regarding the issue several months ago, but no action had been taken. The company is currently working on constructing a border link road between Sursand and Kanhauli in the district. Another company employee, Rupesh Kumar, was also threatened on November 29 this year.
