Daltonganj: Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH), Daltonganj, would get a state-of-the-art CT scan machine worth Rs 7 crore, funded by Power Grid of India. The installation is likely to be completion by December, sources in the hospital said.
MMCH medical superintendent Dr Dharmendra Kumar said, “The machine would be installed in the main building.” To accommodate the new facility, the emergency and surgery rooms have been relocated.
The combined space of the emergency and surgery rooms will house the machine which requires a space measuring 27 feet in length, 15 feet in width, and a minimum ceiling height of 2.75 meters.

Police have arrested five individuals for allegedly firing seven rounds at a stone crusher site in Dokra under Chainpur police station's jurisdiction. The site is owned by Ashok Dhanuka. Authorities did not report any casualties or property damage but suspect extortion was the motive. Four country-made pistols were recovered from the suspects.
