Ludhiana: The sales executive of a mobile phone company was booked for decamping with 30 smart phones worth Rs 8 lakh. The accused has been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Prabh of Bajigar Basti in Tarf Karabara village. A case was filed against the accused on the complaint of Charanjit Singh from Partap Nagar, who owns an electronic shop where he also sells mobile phones.
Charanjit Singh said that in March 2024, mobile phone manufacturing company, Vivo sent Paramjit Singh to his shop for sales promotion. He said that the accused went on leave on Oct 14 but did not return. On checking the stock, he found 30 brand new mobile phones missing. When he questioned Paramjit Singh about it, he said that he would clarify after coming to the shop. However, he did not come. Later, he filed a complaint against the accused, who is at large. tnn

A 22-year-old man in Malad (E), Mumbai, has been arrested for stabbing a 16-year-old boy, Fardeen Khan, after an argument over a borrowed cellphone. The confrontation escalated when the accused, Aamir Sajida, was injured, leading him to fatally stab Khan in the chest. Khan succumbed to his injuries later, according to police reports.
