To ensure a secure environment for visitors at Mahakumbh, the mela police have deployed 20 high-tech drones for 24/7 surveillance. These drones will monitor all sectors in real-time. Advanced security measures include monitoring ongoing development works and key areas. Additional drones may be added to strengthen the security framework if needed, guaranteeing a seamless experience for pilgrims.
PRAYAGRAJ: In order to ensure a foolproof security cover for visitors arriving at Mahakumbh on the banks of the Ganga from all corners of the world, the mela police administration has deployed 20 high-tech drones to monitor activities round the clock.
These advanced drones are all set to provide 24/7 surveillance, capturing every minute detail of the mammoth gathering. The drones are programmed to focus on even the smallest movements, ensuring a highly secure environment.
Apart from security, the ongoing development works in and around the mela campus are currently being closely monitored. Whether it’s the airport, railway stations, bus stations, ghats, roads, temples, or bridges, all areas are under strict supervision. Mela police ensured state-of-the-art security arrangements are in place to ensure that devotees from India and abroad face no inconvenience.
Additional DG (Prayagraj zone) Bhanu Bhaskar told TOI, “Mela police is all set to use these special drones for the first time, which will provide real-time updates on every detail of all 25 sectors of the Mahakumbh with just a single click."
He further added, “Special security measures are being drafted to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees attending the Mahakumbh. For devotees, plans are afoot to offer a seamless experience for pilgrims traveling to the tent city from across the country as well as abroad."
To enhance security, three drone-based projects have already been initiated, ensuring vigilant monitoring of every corner of the Mahakumbh. The number of these specialized drones may be increased if needed, further strengthening the security framework.
Making the Mahakumbh a truly exceptional experience is a top priority for the state govt. Advanced drones are being deployed to oversee all construction activities carried out by various departments, including Smart City, Municipal Corporation, Police, Healthcare, and Transportation.
Currently, 20 state-of-the-art drones are operational, keeping a close watch on land, water, and air to ensure safety.
These remotely controlled drones are operated by specially trained teams, providing a detailed view of all activities.
