Guwahati: A 34-year-old woman was injured in a failed chain snatching attempt that occurred in Guwahati’s Sundarpur area on Saturday morning. The victim, who was out for a morning walk with her husband, was targeted by two motorcycle-borne miscreants, reports Dhrubajyoti Malakar.
According to the victim, the incident took place approximately 100 meters from the couple’s apartment around 7:30 am as they were returning home. “The miscreants, riding a motorcycle, attempted to snatch my chain. It got stuck in my hair and they could not succeed. When I resisted, one of the assailants attacked me with a sharp weapon, causing injuries on my right arm and pushed me to a drain,” she said.
The injured woman was promptly rushed to a hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
