Dibrugarh: A team of 11 bikers and four volunteers from the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) arrived in Dibrugarh on Friday, marking a significant milestone in their ambitious motorcycle rally that began on Nov 22 from Bumla Pass at the Indo-Tibet border in Arunachal Pradesh.
The rally aims to cover approximately 15,000 km, traversing 22 states and one union territory, to garner support and raise awareness for Tibet’s freedom.
The rally participants plan to visit Tibetan winter markets throughout India, meet parliamentarians and engage with Tibet support groups to build momentum for their cause. They are specifically calling for the Indian govt to formally recognise Tibet’s independent status and acknowledge the historical Indo-Tibet border.
