Lucknow: Solo exhibition ‘Behind The People' depicting social messages through artwork began at Kalasrot art gallery on Thursday. The exhibition is open from 12 noon to 8pm daily, till Dec 5.
There are 14 drawings on paper and six paintings on canvas using acrylic by Vinay Amber. "My art depicts political and social messages such as disparity between rich and poor, condition of farmers, cityscapes and inequalities," said Amber.
A visitor, Reema Agarwal (24), said, "I am an art student and such work is an inspiration, teaching us not only how to etch our ideas on canvas, but also how to sensitively think and observe what is going on in society and then depict it artistically".
Another visitor, Shailvi Sarodkar (45), said, "Every painting says something and a viewer can easily connect with its message."
