Fatal crash closes EB Hwy 4 in Pittsburg Friday
(KRON) — A fatal crash on eastbound Highway 4 in Pittsburg has shut down all lanes Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. A severe traffic alert was issued at 5:33 a.m.
The crash occurred west of Railroad Avenue and eastbound traffic of Highway 4 is being diverted off at Bailey Road, authorities said.
According to CHP’s incident log, a disabled vehicle was blocking the middle lane before another vehicle collided with it. Further details of the crash or involved victims were not immediately available.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area. The CHP estimated the roadway would reopen at around 8:45 a.m.
