Gorakhpur: Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University's English department on Friday launched ‘My Campus, My Pride, My Responsibility,' an eco-friendly initiative encouraging research scholars to adopt and care for plants.
For this, The scholars will place potted plants with their names in the department corridors, symbolising personal responsibility and environmental stewardship, HoD Ajay Shukla said.
Additionally, the department will host the ‘Shabd and Stanza' poetry recital on Saturday, featuring self-composed Hindi and English poems by research scholars.
Both initiatives underline the department's commitment to environmental consciousness and literary excellence, making the campus greener and more intellectually enriching.
