Starting January 1, 2025, BOBCARD users will notice key changes to the domestic airport lounge access program. The updated policy introduces a minimum spending requirement to qualify for complimentary lounge visits.
New spending criteria
The primary change is that access to domestic lounges will depend on meeting a minimum spending threshold in the previous calendar quarter.
This change applies to all cardholders, with specific details outlined below.
Eterna, Eterna - FD, Tiara, Varunah Premium cardholders will need to spend at least ₹40,000 in the preceding quarter to qualify for unlimited lounge visits.
Cards like Varunah Plus, The Sentinel, Rakshamah, and Yoddha will require a minimum spend of ₹20,000 for complimentary lounge access, with a limit of 2 to 3 visits per quarter, depending on the card type.
For those holding newly issued cards, the minimum spending requirement is waived for the first calendar quarter of card issuance.
However, this waiver is not available for card upgrades within the same quarter.
Here's a table summarising the complimentary lounge access benefits for different BOBCARD products based on the new criteria, effective from January 1, 2025:
