Chandigarh: Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, Genral Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C), Western Command witnessed the culmination of ‘Kharga Shakti’ exercise at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan.
Kharga Shakti, an integrated firepower exercise, was conducted by the Kharga Corps to practise and validate synchronised delivery of firepower of the Strike Corps in complete integration with surveillance resources and air power assets of the Indian Air force.
On the culmination of the exercise, Katiyar interacted with all the ranks and congratulated them on their professionalism in conducting the exercise. The exercise demonstrated seamless, effective, and persuasive integrated firing in a simulated operational environment for operations in obstacle-ridden terrain. The coordinated delivery of firepower by all elements of Kharga Corps was synchronised with Fighter Bomber Missions, Photo Reconnaissance missions, and Attack Helicopters of the Indian Air Force.
