Rajkot: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four people, one of whom lured her into a relationship with the promise of marriage in Amreli district.
On Wednesday, the Vadiya police arrested three accused: Anil Desai (35), Daku alias Nayan Vekariya, and Soma Alani (21).
The woman came into contact with Desai through a friend. On Nov 25, she went to Desai's house to discuss marriage. He then took her to his friend Pradeep's house and allegedly raped her. Pradeep and two others then took turns raping her, said investigating officer P R Rathod.
After returning home, the woman informed her friend, which led to the filing of a complaint at Vadiya police station.
The police conducted a medical examination of the woman and sought assistance from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to gather evidence.
