Lucknow: A speeding truck ran over a 13-year-old boy on Tuesday in Bakshi Ka Talab area when he was on his way home after taking a school exam.
As per reports, the deceased, Ansh, a class 4 student, suffered a puncture on his bicycle. While heading to Mahona Chauraha to repair the puncture, an overloaded truck struck him, crushing his head and causing instant death.
As news spread, hundreds of furious locals, along with family members, gathered at the accident site, blocking the Kursi-Kumhrava road for over three hours. They accused the police of negligence, alleging that overloaded trucks frequently ply the area unchecked, facilitated by bribery. The crowd demanded compensation for the grieving family and stringent action against the guilty driver. BJP MLA Yogesh Shukla later intervened and pacified the crowd.
