New Delhi: Six members of a burglary gang were arrested for allegedly over 100 thefts targeting homes of officials in RK Puram.
The arrests came after two break-ins on the night of Nov 17 at the residences of an excise official and a CRPF officer. The burglars stole jewellery and the CRPF officer's identity card. "We analysed over 100 CCTV recordings and tracked down an autorickshaw to Bhalswa Dairy," said a senior police officer who led the probe. The vehicle was traced to one of the accused, Karan Kumar Yadav, whose interrogation led police to the mastermind, Prem Kumar Meena (38), a school dropout from Rajasthan. The others were Sarvesh Rawat, Sunny Kohli, Anil Kumar Ahirwar and Ramnath Soni. TNN
