Hyderabad: A bid to smuggle ganja from West Bengal to Mumbai by two men was busted at the Secunderabad railway station on Tuesday.
Eighteen kilogram of dry ganja worth 4.5 lakh was seized from the two men hailing from WB in a joint operation of the Govt Railway Police, Secunderabad, and Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Cops said that accused Pritam Chowdhury and Satyam Chowdhury, both ganja addicts, are siblings and work as cooks. Cops said the brothers purchased 18 kg dry ganja from Shalimar in West Bengal on Nov 25 and started for Mumbai via Hyderabad. On Tuesday, they arrived at Secunderabad railway station and were in the process of boarding another train to Mumbai when they landed in the police net. tnn
