Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday urged tribals to unite and fight against the Congress govt, warning that incidents like Lagacherla can happen anywhere in the state. He even termed BRS as Banjara Rashtra Samithi during a ‘maha dharna' organised in Mahabubabad in support of Lagacherla farmers.
"Dharna at Manukota (Mahabubabad) is only the beginning.

BRS would hold protests in support of Lagacherla tribal farmers and oustees in all the 119 assembly constituencies where there is presence of tribals, SCs and BCs," KTR said at the ‘maha dharna'.
He claimed that BRS govt had increased ST reservations from 6% to 10%, elevated tribal thandas to gram panchayats and gave pattas for podu lands cultivated by tribals. But the Congress govt was trying to acquire tribal land for pharma companies to benefit CM Revanth Reddy's relatives, he alleged.
KTR said that though Lagacherla farmers have been protesting since nine months against takeover of their land for pharma companies, the CM did not have time to listen to their problems. But the CM flew to Delhi 28 times in the past nine months. Even there, the CM failed to get any anything from the Centre except mandatory funds, KTR said.
People in the CM's own constituency (Kodangal) revolted against him and he would have been attacked if he had gone to Lagacherla, KTR said.
