Ranchi: Jharkhand Academic Council is all set to commence its online application process this week for the upcoming matriculation and intermediate examinations scheduled for February 2025. Students must complete their applications before December, including both regular and late submissions.
The council will also accept online applications for Classes VIII and XI examinations. Students in Classes IX and XI will undertake their assessments using OMR sheets before the Class X and XII examinations commence.
JAC chairman, Anil Kumar Mahto, said, "The new academic session for govt schools will begin in April 2025. This adjustment follows disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to a shortened academic year in 2021. From 2025 onwards, the academic calendar will revert to the traditional 12-month structure, running from April to March of the following year." The council has released the timetable for Class VIII board examinations. Applications will be accepted online from November 20 to December 7. Schools must obtain approval from the district education officer prior to form submission. Assessments for Class VIII will be conducted offline, with successful candidates advancing to Class IX.
Principal of Government Middle School, Ormanjhi, Nasim Ahmed, said, "Principals are tasked with filling out application forms using designated user IDs and passwords, which will be activated upon DEO approval. Schools seeking to participate are required to obtain their user credentials through DEO office."
