New Delhi: A truck driver from Maharashtra was arrested for allegedly killing his 34-year-old wife and keeping her corpse in the vehicle for several days. He was arrested from Okhla. Inquiry revealed that he suspected his wife of having an illicit affair.
Police said that they were searching for a missing truck from Maharashtra for the past few days.

On Nov 23, they received information about the missing truck and its driver and a team rushed to the spot, which was Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II. The truck owner from Maharashtra had filed a missing complaint. When they reached the spot, they found a woman's body lying in a pool of blood in the driver's cabin of the truck.
The deceased was later identified as Neetu, a resident of Patna, Bihar. "The driver, identified as Pardeep, a resident of Hisar in Haryana, was also found lying intoxicated in the truck. Later during interrogation, he claimed that he suspected that his wife was having an illicit affair which led to an argument and he killed her," an officer said.
A case under murder charges was registered in this connection.
During further investigation, police discovered that the accused had embarked on a solo journey from Navi Mumbai on Nov 11 and arrived in Delhi on Nov 13. He contacted his wife, Neetu, on Nov 14. It is suspected that he murdered her on the intervening night of Nov 19- 20.
